History
Three Kingdoms Period
Goguryeo tomb murals show the clothing of that era. The basic structure of jeogori (jacket), baji (trousers), and chima (skirt) was already established.
Goryeo Dynasty
Mongolian influence brought some changes to clothing, but the basic hanbok form was maintained.
Joseon Dynasty
Confucian influence systematized clothing regulations. Strict dress codes existed according to social status, and the basic form of modern hanbok was established during this period.
