Overview
Seoraksan (雪嶽山) is a mountain located in Gangwon Province, South Korea, considered one of the three most famous mountains in South Korea along with Hallasan and Jirisan. With Daecheongbong Peak at 1,708m as its main summit, it was designated a National Park in 1970 and registered as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1982.

Geographic Features
Seoraksan belongs to the Taebaek Mountain Range in the mid-eastern Korean Peninsula and is divided into Inner, Outer, and South Seorak. Characterized by granite terrain with fantastic rock formations and deep valleys. The name "Seorak" comes from snow remaining on the mountain for long periods.
Major Attractions
Daecheongbong Peak
The highest peak of Seoraksan, offering panoramic views of the East Sea and surrounding mountain ranges. Famous as a sunrise spot.
Ulsanbawi Rock
A massive granite formation consisting of six peaks with a circumference of about 4km. It is Seoraksan's iconic landmark.
Biryong Falls
Named for its resemblance to a dragon ascending to heaven, it is a representative attraction of Outer Seorak.
Heundeulbawi (Rocking Rock)
A mysterious rock that can be rocked by human force but never falls, popular among tourists.
Sinheungsa Temple
An ancient temple founded in 652, featuring a large bronze Buddha statue called the Tongil Daebul.
